Since 2022 the ASPIRE Education Hub has been inspiring Ukrainian youth, giving them warmth, support and the opportunity to develop at this difficult time.
Thanks to your generosity and commitment, we have managed to implement many important initiatives, for which we express our deep gratitude.
One of these initiatives, now in its second year, is the “І.Gra” Theater-Studio, where young people find space for self-expression, creativity and mutual communication. I am now writing to you on behalf of “I.Gra”
We have prepared a unique Christmas gift for you – a production of “A Christmas Carol”, inspired by the timeless work of Charles Dickens.
This play is our way of expressing gratitude for your support, for creating a friendly, homely atmosphere for our Ukrainian youth, thanks to which they feel safe, despite being far from their homeland.
“A Christmas Carol” is an eternal classic that touches the hearts of millions of people around the world. It combines fairy tale and reality, fantasy and profound life wisdom.
In co-operation with the Polish theatre “Scena Supernova” and the talented director Jakub Kowalik, we have created a unique staging that offers a fresh, contemporary look at this story.
The performance involves young actors from Ukraine and Poland aged 13 to 18 – participants of our theatre workshops.
We actively discuss how important integration is and how difficult it is for children to establish contact with Polish peers.
The joint work of Ukrainian and Polish youth on stage clearly shows the goals and achievements of our ASPIRE programme in this area.
For Ukrainian participants, this performance has a special meaning: it helps them process their own experiences in overcoming difficulties and reminds them of the power of faith and hope.
The role of Ebenezer Scrooge is played by the experienced Polish actor Krystian Gut, and the performance is produced by a team of professionals from leading Kraków theatres.
Our performance, filled with youth, sincerity and a festive atmosphere, will transport viewers to a magical world where the most important human values remain unchanged despite the passage of time.
